Caelin Richmond
MA in Counselling Psychology, Registered Psychologist
Caelin Richmond has been a Registered Psychologist since 2024. She specializes in working with neurodiverse individuals, providing counselling and assessment.
Caelin spent several years working frontline supporting individuals with disabilities, and later creating behavioural support plans for individuals and teams supporting them. Her background continues to shape her approach in centring each individual’s experiences to
create a supportive, collaborative space to create understanding.
Throughout her counselling education and practice, Caelin has focused her work on supporting teenagers and adults with autism and ADHD. Moving into assessment was a natural extension of that
journey to further support individuals in understanding themselves and accessing the resources they need.
Outside of work, Caelin enjoys gardening, getting lost in fiction novels, and spending time with her dogs.
About my practice
Therapeutic Lens
Therapy looks different for everyone. My approach to working with teens and adults draws on elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches, which are selected and adapted
based on your unique experiences, goals, and circumstances. ACT supports people in building psychological flexibility, while CBT offers practical tools for understanding the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Whatever the approach, the foundation remains the same: a space built on trust, openness, and working together toward what matters to you.
Neurodiversity Affirming
Neurodivergent individuals have brains that are wired differently, and that shapes how they experience and interpret the world around them. Neurological diversity doesn't exist in
isolation; it is intertwined with culture, personal history, and lived experience, all of which influence how someone navigates the world and what support looks like for them.
My approach centers on your inherent strengths and abilities. Self-advocacy and empowerment are core to this work, and I want you to leave sessions with a deeper understanding of yourself and greater confidence in your own voice.
Therapeutic goals are flexible and personalized because progress looks different for everyone. What matters is that the work reflects your values and what growth means to you,
not a predetermined standard of how you should think, feel, or function.
Assessment
Using a combination of questionnaires, structured interviews, observational tools, collateral
information, and other standardized instruments, I provide diagnostic assessments for children and adults for ADHD and Autism (ages 3+ for Autism, 6+ for ADHD).
Every assessment begins with a one-hour consultation to review consents, discuss your referral question, and determine the scope of the evaluation - ensuring the process is meaningful and well-suited to your needs.
For families navigating separation or divorce, consent from both parents is required before proceeding with a child's assessment. At the conclusion of the process, you will receive a
comprehensive report that addresses the referral question and provides recommendations for further supports.
Costs vary depending on the complexity of the evaluation, and a detailed estimate will be provided following the initial consultation.
