About my practice
Therapeutic Lens
I work primarily from a person-centred lens, viewing clients as the experts in their own experiences. I integrate approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational nterviewing based on each client’s needs and goals. I bring humour and authenticity into sessions, with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship. I offer individual therapy for teens and adults to help clients build the life they want—or discover what that might be.
Psychoeducational Assessments
I provide psychoeducational assessments for clients aged 13+, with a specific focus on the educational needs of the client, and exploring cognitive, academic, and behavioural areas of strength and need. My approach involves making the assessment engaging and interesting for the client, as well as providing accessible reports with concrete recommendations.
Teens and Young Adults
My prior experience at the University of Alberta and at a teen-specialty clinic has given me a unique passion for working teens and young adults navigating the life changes that occur between ages 16-25. Working out your own goals and desires for your life can be daunting and confusing. Whether it’s school stress, launching a career, your first breakup, or exploration of your own identity, I enjoy the opportunity to work through these things together.
